Role: Music Composition
Evolution is a collaboration between student composers and choreographers with the goal of developing short dance works to be performed live on stage. Pieces were developed through weekly review sessions with other composers, spotting sessions with choreographers, and mix testing in the Payne Theater.
My piece was developed in collaboration with co-composer Thanh Tang, and choreographers Grace Falconer and Natalia DePaula. The piece debuted at the April 2025 Evolution showcase.
Role: Music, Video Content
EDM concert created as a collaboration between student DJs, VJs, and Lighting Techs in the Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies. I participated in 2 courses that contributed to the event:
Interactive Music: I wrote an EDM track in Ableton to be played and improvised over in a live setting. We spent the first few weeks of the course developing short pieces in different genres of EDM as genre studies. Then, we selected one of these pieces to develop further through weekly feedback sessions with peers.
Realtime Video Programming: I used TouchDesigner (a node-based software for live visuals) and Resolume Arena (another live VJ software) to create audio-reactive visuals to play alongside other students' music and lighting cues. Each week, we focused on a particular element of TouchDesigner or Arena, and our final project was to create a cohesive set of visuals for two musicians.
Role: Sound Design, Music
Building a game in a small team from pre-production to release over the course of a semester.
Interstellar - Cornfield Chase Re-Score (for MUS 376J: Film Scoring)
Alien - Title Sequence Re-Score (for MUS 376J: Film Scoring)
Seaside Village Theme
I wrote this theme for a hypothetical game's town as a way to experiment with dynamic music. I tried to match tempos between each section so they could crossfade back and forth smoothly at any point in the loop.
Gliding Tune
Created for a weekly music composition challenge on the 8BitMusicTheory Discord server.
